Therapeutic Lasers for
Physiotherapists
Theralase® cool laser therapy can benefit your patients, increase your revenue and are a great value-added service for physiotherapists.
Not only will this drug-free therapy add cash to your bottom line, but it will also complement the effects of your treatments. When applied correctly, it can help treat many of the conditions* your patients suffer with.
Cool laser therapy ("CLT") also referred to as low-level laser therapy or photobiomodulation, has been actively used for nearly 50 years. To date, there are more than 4000 published studies worldwide involving low-level laser therapy with approximately 400 of those being double-blind studies.
Theralase® therapeutic lasers expose tissue to light energy (photons) of two different wavelengths, within the visible and near infrared spectrum, triggering a chain of different chemical reactions within the cell for tissue healing and pain reduction. Theralase® superpulsed laser technology can penetrate up to 5 inches in depth, stimulating even the deepest of conditions*. It is a highly effective, non-invasive, and pain-free treatment alternative for a wide range of conditions*.
Theralase® patented, super-pulsed, non-thermal Class 3B lasers activate all three known cellular pathways.

Accelerate Healing
660 nm Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Pathway
Theralase® stimulates the mitochondria of the cell to produce more Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP or basic cell energy) to accelerate tissue repair. (Proceedings of the International Society for Optics and Photonics, 2015)

Reduce Inflammation
905 nm Nitric Oxide (NO) Pathway
Independent research proves that the proprietary Theralase® 905nm superpulsed laser technology increases the production of Nitric Oxide (NO) by over 700%, increasing vasodilation and decreasing inflammation versus other competitive wavelengths. (Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, 2009)

Eliminate Pain
905 nm Lipid Absorption Pathway
Theralase® laser technology effectively removes the pain signal at source by rebalancing the sodium potassium pump. (Harvard Medical School, 2010)

Theralase® therapeutic lasers can effectively treat or help improve many physio conditions* such as:
Neck Pain
Migraines / Headache
Rotator Cuff Syndrome
Osteoarthritis
Muscle Strains / Ligament Sprains
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Lumber Arthrosis
Tennis / Golfer’s Elbow
Hip Bursitis
Knee Pain / Ligament Injuries
Plantar Fasciitis
Achilles Tendinitis

safe & effective treatment of pain
Over 100 treatable conditions*
Theralase® cool laser therapy systems have been approved by both Health Canada and the FDA for the safe and effective treatment of pain associated with chronic knee conditions.
*While over 4,000 clinical studies worldwide have proven the efficacy of cold laser technologies in treating a host of other conditions, Theralase® lasers have not received explicit approval for these applications. In-clinic treatment of other conditions is at the sole discretion of the healthcare practitioner and may include the following:

Dr. Elizabeth Angelevski
B.Sc., D.C.
Dr. Angelevski graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology. Her interest in the workings of the human body and mind, as well as in movement and rehabilitation, brought her to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. After 4 years of intense study, she graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2009. Dr. Angelevski returned to McMaster University to complete the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and has completed post-graduate training in Custom Orthotic Therapy. She has also completed a certificate program in Advanced Clinical Anatomy.
Dr. Angelevski is currently the Director of Clinical Education and Training at Theralase and runs a successful clinic at the Theralase Pain Therapy Clinic. She has a keen professional interest in helping patients achieve optimal health and well-being through the use of laser therapy. She is dedicated to improving their quality of life through laser treatment programs that are specifically designed for each patient. Dr. Angelevski strongly believes that education is an essential component. Therefore, each patient is guided to effectively manage and prevent the condition from recurring.
